Interview with the artist Mrinal Dutt —

1. Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Mrinal Dutt from Ahmedabad India
I am a 26 years young talented artist. I am is basically an electrical engineer who turned into a professional artist, from Ahemadabad, India. As being an engineer I give equal Justice to both fields. Attributably I am being well-known Artist who is specialized in all media. Most important notification is that I am a Self-taught artist. My inspiration is Sir MF Hussain.

2. Why art?
For me art is an expression and my passion which I love to follow. It gives me inner happiness and also way to approach and address to the world.

3. What is your earliest memory of wanting to be an artist?
My earliest  memory I can say when I used to sketch on street n road side

4. What are your favorite subject(s) and media(s)?
My favourite  media is acrylic on canvas and my most topic on art is Indian mythology n Indian village women. More I like the color drip effect I love to use min amount of colour and get maximum  output of it.

5. How do you work and approach your subject?
I am is a self-taught artist, started my journey with learning simple sketches. By sitting over somewhere; I tried to make sketches and put my imagination into it. Although being a self-taught artist i perfected my art and mastered in art field. I like to arrange thoughts on canvas. I quote and believe” being an artist we have a power to see the world differently”.
Approach – Sketching is everything to me. In terms of colors i like black color most. I am inspired from day to day life and draws many paintings of architecture, abstract. I  portrays my imagination through various mediums.

6. What are your favorite art work(s), artist(s)?
My favorite  art work till now is my Indian traditional beauty series. A figurative abstract work of my imagination.

7. What are the best responses you have had to your work?
Well I can only that’s till the date I got many best response from people across the world. And I feel all are best as the way they see my art.

8. What do you like about your work?
Only one thing I like about my works is that am putting  my 100% imagination on it to make it perfect.

9. What advice would you give to other artists?
Only one advice  that keep doing and follow your passion.

10. Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?
I love to be a renowned artist in next 5 yrs.
